About
Project strives to improve the education of doctors in higher education institutions in the Western Balkans (WBC HEIs) in accordance with societal needs, with the support of higher education institutions from the European Union (EU HEIs) in the development and implementation of a new learning model. Thus, advanced and innovative models of application of problem-based learning (PBL) in educational processes are encouraged and developed.
Objectives
The main goal of the project is to improve the education of doctors in WBC HEIs with the support of EU HEIs in accordance with societal needs, which is achieved through two specific goals: (1) Enable students to use conceptual, procedural and metacognitive knowledge in order to solve real problems, by implementing a new learning model and (2) Develop the capacity of WBC HEIs to further enhance blended learning through cooperation with EU universities and mutual cooperation.
Sustainability
Sustainability of project results has its short-term and long-term effects. It is expected that the short-term effects will be achieved during the duration of the project, and will encourage a greater scope of long-term effects of sustainability of the results of this project. The best indicators of the long-term sustainability of the project will be satisfied patients who will be treated by doctors who will solve their problems more efficiently and with better quality.
